Firsts... Continued

In my last post, I told you all that I'd be letting you know where I would be going for Spring Break.

Last night, I had work from 8:00 AM to 1:10AM and then my family and I ended up leaving my house around 6:30 AM. We made it to my aunt's place in Corona, CA and then left from her home to Laughlin! We made a rest stop and a gas stop along Route 66! I think it was my first time driving along Route 66 haha. There were these weird hilly roads, but we did arrive safely.

On the road to Corona!
Well, the time is finally here and I'm here in Laughlin, Nevada today! We're currently staying at the Avi Casino & Hotel here and I have to admit, for miles upon miles of desert, it's definitely been a pleasure staying here. There's a lot that this hotel has to offer. When we arrived, it was around 3PM and we checked into our hotel rooms. This hotel kind of reminded me of a mall. There was a mini food court which only consisted of Subway, Sbarro, Thrifty and Panda Express. I grabbed lunch/dinner at Sbarro and ordered a classic slice of pepperoni pizza. Afterwards, I bought my cousins and brother and myself some Thrifty Ice Cream and it was delicious! I usually never have dessert, but this was a nice change to enjoy once in a while. Afterwards, we decided to look around the hotel a bit and let me just say, the smell of stale cigarette smoke throughout the casino portion of the hotel was not pleasant at all. But, they did have a movie theater which was super convenient for the kids to hang out at! I went with my cousin, Emily, to see the PG-rated movie, Zootopia—yes, hardcore Spring Break, I know. Disney has been killing it with these animated films that help kids understand that differences are to be accepted by society and that it's okay to be unique. First, it's Frozen, then Inside Out, Big Hero 6 and now Zootopia! Those are only a few of the Disney films that I absolutely fell in love with, haha. But that is an entirely different blog that I could go on about!

Chey & Family
But anyway, while we finished the movie, my brother and my two younger cousins went to the pool and that arcade and kept themselves busy! Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel to a friend if they were visiting Laughlin, haha. I'm sad to be leaving tomorrow, but I'll let you know what I've accomplished by tomorrow night! Hopefully, I'll have a bit of free time to blog and post pictures on the following blog!

See you next post,

Chey
